Due to the growing demand and to keep the network up to date, SÜC is constantly expanding its heterogeneous infrastructure. Since the challenges in operations are getting bigger, Xantaro, as a long-term partner, introduces StableNet® from Infosim to SÜC, a highly automated network management tool.
When it came to verifying the Virtual Application Delivery Controllers (vADC) from different vendors beyond their data sheet specifications and parameters, those responsible at Vodafone rely on Xantaro's test capacities. As a result, the provider receives objective results for all vendors and is therefore ideally positioned for future network expansion.
After a huge network failure, the freenet Group commissioned Xantaro with a network audit to evaluate functionality and future practicability of the infrastructure. The result: In order to ensure future growth and the reliable provision of new, innovative services, the previous DC design needed to be modernised. Together, Xantaro and Juniper Networks planned and implemented a new IP fabric architecture with EVPN Control Plane.
“We were already running a Smartoptics solution, so we knew about the company. But we were surprised when Xantaro highlighted the potential of Smartoptics’ Open Line System. Initially it looked too good to be true,” says Tom Eichhorn.
After upgrading their data centres with Juniper Networks systems, Xantaro supported First Colo GmbH in connecting the sites based on the Smartoptics Open Line System. The DCI solution combines the advantages of modern PAM4 transceivers with the flexible DCP-M open-line system for multiple, intelligent, flexible 100G DWDM connections. The sleek QSFP28 form factor PAM4 transceivers are embedded directly into the Juniper Networks switches.
