Following feedback from a growing number of UK AltNets, Xantaro UK are proud to present this webinar in partnership with Nokia.

5G Transport with XGS-PON and 25G-PON

Ensuring everybody across the UK has access to broadband services is critical, especially during these unprecedented times where it has become the lifeline to millions for hybrid working, receiving healthcare, home-schooling and handling in-home multimedia experience.

There is also growing demand to have a fibre access network able to connect the increasing number of 5G cell sites to converge the fixed network with the mobile access network.

In our high-level 60 minute session you will learn form Damien Davy how Nokia’s ISAM FX universal next-gen PON platform (GPON, XGS-PON & 25G-PON all available on one platform) is helping UK AltNets & Full-fibre operators to expand their revenue opportunities by connecting Mobile 4G & 5G base stations.

• Hear how to open up the access network to more revenues and new applications.

• Understand why the business case of re-using the PON infrastructure for 4G and 5G is far more competitive than using a dedicated fiber network in overlay.

• Learn how to avoid double- investment in access and converge all mobile traffic to the FTTH network without any risk for the mobile traffic.

With 5G cell coverage & usage set to intensify, it is almost impossible to invest on a second fibre access network next to the FTTH one. AltNets and full-fibre access operators have the means on the PON network using Nokia XGS-PON and 25G-PON to do mobile any-haul for the base station: it means mobile front-haul, mid-haul and backhaul.
